Title: Report on the Clayoquot Sound Research Consortium Survey

Year: 1998

Author(s): Josie Cleland

Type: Report (unpublished)

Description:
A survey to gauge the level of interest in development of a Clayoquot Sound Research Consortium was circulated to 594 researchers and non-government organizations. The response rate of the survey was 7.5%. From comments received it appears that the membership-based consortium model proposed would not succeed due to financial constraints at institutions, however individuals who expressed interest in the concept, the variety of research opportunities available in the region, the existing field station infrastructure and the opportunity to offer direction to research in Clayoquot Sound will be valuable contacts in the future."
