Title: A Summary of Data Collected at Cheewhat Lake, 1995 to 1996.

Year: 1997

Author(s): M.C. Wright and Associates

Type: Report (published)

Description:
Monitoring of the Cheewhat Lake sockeye stock in 1995 and 1996 is a continuation of the Study Lakes Program initiated in 1985. In 1989 a study was initiated to determine what role smolt size, migratory timing and location of sea entry play in marine survival variations of wild sockeye salmon. Since 1991 the primary objective of the program was to collect sockeye and coho salmon returning with coded wire tags, from release years 1989 to 1991. This report deals with information on stock size, migration patterns and biological characteristics of the adult sockeye and coho runs to Cheewhat Lake in 1995 and 1996.
