Our objective for this report was to investigate the availability of environmental education in the region and discuss how, and in which ways, the existing programs could be expanded and enhanced. Currently, at least 24 community organizations within the region have education in their mandate and deliver educational programs (Loucks et al., 2015). Semi-structured interviews were conducted with six of the most active environmental education NGOs in the community, Parks Canada and individual community members active in the environmental education field.
