Description: A review of the CSBR indicates that TOMM is ideally suited to tackle current tourism management challenges in the area. Therefore, this report introduces TOMM - a management approach that establishes best practices and integrates the communitys existing goals and management programs into a comprehensive and coherent framework - offers a background on biosphere reserves - the evolution of a tourism destination - and provides an example for potential implementation of TOMM in the CSBR. For the example we generated desired, yet achievable, economic, environmental, socio-cultural, and experiential conditions based on existing data and selected matching indicators to achieve measurability of these conditions.
